The latest in science meets creativity has come to the Brentwood community! 3D printing is now available to members of The Brentwood Library.

Members must first attend a library-sponsored program and afterwards may submit digital files for 3D printing. Attendees of the free program will learn about the history and mechanics of 3D printing.

After attending the program, members must submit digital files at the reference desk and complete a 3D printing form. Staff will then contact members via email with cost and completion estimates. After receiving this notice, patrons may cancel if desired. Members will be notified once the print is complete, and their prints may be collected at the circulation desk.

If the object does not print correctly, it is still the responsibility of the member to pay printing costs. For this reason, it is recommended that members utilize software that will check the design for potential printing errors, prior to submission.

Made possible by the Friends of the Library and the generous donation of a library patron and library staff, community members can express creativity through the latest in technology! Classes are available for adults and teens.
